Welcome to Aghalee Surgery Online

At Aghalee Surgery the doctors and nurses take pride in offering the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. The practice is part of village life and we wish to maintain the tradition of service to our local community.

Due to the unprecedented Coronavirus pandemic, in order to protect our patients & staff, as from Monday 16th March we have moved to a TELEPHONE FIRST TRIAGE SERVICE.

WE REMAIN OPEN TO TREAT MEDICAL PROBLEMS, HOWEVER YOU WILL NOW SPEAK TO THE DOCTOR FIRST. IF THEY ARE UNABLE TO ADEQUATELY MANAGE YOUR PROBLEM BY TELEPHONE THEY WILL ARRANGE AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOU TO COME TO THE SURGERY. The receptionist will ask you for a short summary of your problem, don’t be alarmed, this helps the doctor to prioritise calls if it is a particularly busy day in order to deal with the most urgent problems first.

We will continue to treat, manage patients and prescribe medications, but this may be done by telephone.

Your medication will be forwarded to your appointed pharmacy.  If you currently collect your prescription from the surgery, please advise us by telephone which pharmacy you would prefer to collect your prescription from.

If you have questions or concerns, please telephone the Surgery, as we cannot reply via this website.

For general Coronavirus enquiries call NHS 111.

It is important should you develop symptoms of; Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath or Loss of smell that you should arrange to get TESTED FOR COVID by clicking here and following the instructions.

If you have any issues with the above website you can call 119.

Our GPs are also required to provide cover for the Southern Trust Covid Clinics.

Whilst this is essential, it will impact upon our resources within the practice. We would be most grateful for your patience and support whilst we endeavour to maintain a service during the current crisis.

Thank you for your ongoing co-operation.flujabs

Best Wishes,

Drs Wilson, McDermott, Byrne & Anderson
